Program Description: The Cybersecurity program provides students with hands on and technical training in the concepts, principles, and techniques required to successfully prevent and/or mitigate security issues on computing devices in a networked environment. Students will learn best practices for the design of secure modern networks as well as how to secure existing computing devices and networks. Students will learn about evolving threats and the proper use of specific security tools. Both security theory and hands on practice are stressed.
Employment Opportunities: Cybersecurity graduates are in high demand by businesses with planned or existing networked computer infrastructures. With many cybersecurity jobs becoming available in the Augusta area, there will be a steady demand for cybersecurity entry level personnel.
