RNSG 2210 ADULT NURSING II

Using the nursing process, this course includes selected concepts related to the nursing care of individuals experiencing the following acute and chronic alterations in health of the gastrointestinal, neurological, integumentary, endocrine, and urinary systems. The following concepts will be integrated into this course: physiological integrity; psychological integrity; safety and infection control; diet therapy; pharmacology; and health assessments related to the problems under study. Content is introduced using the nursing process as a framework along the wellness illness continuum. Selected nursing interventions are based on current evidence using the scientific method. Clinical learning experiences will include rotations on medical-surgical units in an acute care facility.
