NUET 1221 NUCLEAR MATERIALS PROCESSING
This course describes basic concepts and systems associated with nuclear facilities other than commercial nuclear power plants. This course identifies locations where these nuclear materials are processed; describes the purpose of these facilities; describes major process components and process requirements; and also describes major risk factors and corresponding mitigations. The nuclear materials processes analyzed in the course include: nuclear fuels fabrication facilities; separation, processing, and storage facilities; radioactive gas processing facilities; decontamination and decommissioning of nuclear facilities; radioactive waste management and other ancillary nuclear materials processing applications.
