CIST 2640 SECURITY OPERATIONS ANALYST

The course focuses on how to monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats. It covers security operations monitoring and incident response using incident management systems, threat intelligence platforms, and SIEMs. It also covers analysis and defense against the most common enterprise-targeted attacks. Through hands-on exercises, students will learn the practical application of intermediate-level security skills using various industry-recognized security tools. The course provides a hands-on focus on Information Technology (IT) security process and procedures to help students prepare for careers such as Security Analyst, Vulnerability Analyst, Threat Intelligence Analyst or Incident Responder.
