Placement Testing
Placement Testing
ACCUPLACER Next Generation placement testing is required only for applicants to the Basic Law Enforcement program and High School students applying for Dual Enrollment. The ACCUPLACER Next Generation is a series of computerized, multiple-choice placement tests in reading, writing, arithmetic, and algebra. The test is administered virtually, untimed, and calculators are provided for certain sections.
Placement Exemptions
Dual Enrollment applicants may exempt testing with a HOPE GPA of 2.6 or higher, SAT, ACT, Pre-ACT, or PSAT scores.
Accommodations
Applicants requiring testing accommodations due to a learning or physical disability must notify Counseling Services on the Augusta Campus or Student Services at the Thomson, Waynesboro Sites, or Columbia County Center at least two days prior to testing. Appropriate documentation will be required before accommodations are approved.
